HOW TO DEVELOP FOOTWORK,BALANCE,AND CORE STRENGTH IN A TALL JUNIOR TENNIS PLAYER

HOW TO DEVELOP FOOTWORK,BALANCE,AND CORE STRENGTH IN A TALL JUNIOR TENNIS PLAYER: - During early teens children experience sudden growth spurts, and show a bit unsyncronised movements, poor co-ordination and decline in performance in any sports more so in Tennis. At this stage parents /coaches may have to wait patiently and focus on basic motor qualities as well as specific game based skills so that APPROPRIATE INTEGRATION OF SKILLS AND MOTOR QUALITIES ALONG WITH ENHANCED HEIGHT AND AND WEIGHT WILL RESULT IN BETTER PERFORMANCE.By  this method better foot work, core strength, and balence also will be gained.

HUMAN GULLIBILITY AND SUBJECTIVE ARBITARATION IMPEDES EXCELLENCE

HUMAN GULLIBILITY AND SUBJECTIVE ARBITARATION IMPEDES EXCELLENCE

Its sad to see the gullibility of the population is taken for granted and manipulated upon in neumerous forms,.SOCIO,RELIGIOUS,CULTURAL,POLITICAL,ADMINSTRATIVE fronts. Which leads to poor performance.May be it should be the prime duty of a government to make all decision making objective and data based WITH SQUENTIAL STEPS FOR DECISION MAKING ,AND IT  SHOULD BE WELL DEFINED,AND ENUNCIATED IN THEIR DUTY MANUALS.Often this is not happening in law making and enforcement, this leads to poor governance, subjectivity, often called as ''corruption''. A lot of education/training  in this aspect both in-service and pre-service is needed,Hope some body come forward to initiate moves, may be media has a role to highlight this through DEBATES,DISCUSSIONS  and develop'' PATHWAYS FOR PROGRESS AND EXCELLENCE '' in all fronts, more so in the field of sports.

TRAINING LOAD ''SPECIFICITY '' TO THE TASK,

TRAINING LOAD ''SPECIFICITY '' TO THE TASK,

Every sports training interventions, more so the tennis training should specify the task taken for the training season/month /week /day/session. This is important to maintain the balence between the inner load and the outer load,THE INNER LOAD is the changes, which happens, in the form of adaptation/supercompensation to the athlete[tennis player] due the TRAINING OUTER LOAD in the form of exercises, lifting weights, using training gadgets[balencing balls ,wheel mounted platforms etc. If the outer load is not specific to the task undertaken for training IN THE ASPECT OF DURATION, ,INTENSITY,SPECIFICITY,to the neuro muscular/biomechanical  properties of the task/game skill, say FORE HAND,BACK HAND strokes it may not only do any good/improvement in skill level but also end up in INJURY PRONENESS to the tennis player.

EARLY SIGNS OF A PREDICTABLE LOSS IN A CLOSE MATCH

''AMORTIZATION'  This is a transition phase in our normal gait progression. We alternate swinging and supporting phases during our walk and run sequence. If a player is quick and swift in this phase of transition he will move around the court with ease and swift movements.while during a tough  match in progress, the on set of fatigue will make him sluggish and the ''amortization'' phase will be very much visible and knee mey go a little bit hyper extended during this phase. This is a clear indication of loss in movement efficiency, and while the players' are more or less EQUAL in all the other compatments of the game skills we can assess the situation and predict the match out come. SO COACHES NEXT TIME BE QUICK TO WATCH THE PLAYERS' AMORTIZATION EFFICIENCY.and take appropriate steps.

SERVICE RETURN TRAINING

SERVICE RETURN TRAINING: This capasity is very well ''a trainable''  factor. But, one may have to be diligent and systematic in dealing the process.I would sum it up as a quality''GRASPING THE OPTIC-COGNITIVE CHAIN OF SEQUENCE'' of the server. The recever may have to get it''GRASP'' automated over a period of time.
1. Service return stroke may not always fulfill the bio-.mechanical requirement of a perfect stroke.
2. Service return skills depends on the individuals' capasity to maintain continuous visual contact with the ball and the body language connected with the serve sequence.
3.There may not be aback swing in service return strokes.
4.Service return training may have to start along with early stage ground stroke training [often this is
not the case with many coaches/academies.]
5.Mastery over Table tennis strokes may help to master service return skills.
6.Early stage SR training may start with hand feeding to pre-marked spots,single/double,with pre-mentioned sequence /with out sequence and random spots-with a distance from the net, inbetween net and serve line, from the service line, inbetween serve and base line, step by step, using racket with shot/medium/full back swings, with gradually increased progressive velocities. This course of PROGRESSION TO SKILL MASTERY '' may take a few weeks to attain ''PERFECT MASTERY WITH AUTOMATED SKILLS''Any questions please?

''HEIGHT'' IS THIS A PRIME FACTOR FOR HIGHER RANKING?

HEIGHT:-THE PRIME FACTOR ASSOCIATED WITH HIGHER RANKING IN TENNIS? NO

Height is advantageous to hit high velocity first services, remaining other parameters like, on court speed, aglity, tennis specific factors like ''ACCURACY WITH CONSISTENCY COUPLED WITH ON COURT ENDURANCE'' remains ''CONSTANTS'', The apparent benefits of height, beyond 180 cms is just a'' mythical factor'' which can be nullified with ''SMART SERVICE RETURN SKILLS''
Often, not only coaches, parents, the entire tennis fraternity celebrate/give undue importance to height   as a ''HUGE FACTOR''in a growing player at the early stages of tennis training and ''miss out'' a highly talented medium/short statured player by depriving him/her proper exposure to appropriate coaching.
Hope Asian/Asean nations' ''TENNIS FRATERNITY'' may understand this phenomenen and improve their service return skills, so that more number of players can climb up to higher ranking. Any questions please?
Next write up, How to develop service return skills?.

NEED BASED SYSTEM-PATH WAY TO EXCELLENCE

NEED OF THE HOUR RELEVANT TO INDIA: Development specific approach in educational planning''.THE NEED OF THE HOUR''WHO IS RESPONSIBLE FOR ,Absolute majority in a democratic system of governance may not always guarentee  progress and deliverance of excellence.Progress is based on your capasity to stand and face the global competition in all aspects of human life.
ARE WE READY FOR IT? Do we have the skilled man power?are we having the training facility and, relevant domain knowledge, curriculam content to impliment at the institution level?Let it be enginnering &tech, medicine, sports, law,or in any front, are we competitive enough? up to the global level.?
HUGE CORPORATIONS AIM FOR THEIR PROFIT: Let it be IT or AUTOMOBILE SECTOR OR IN INFRASTRUCTURE DEVELOPMENT, Multinational corporates aim for their ultimate profit and SUCH ''BUSINESS ANGLE OF OPERATION'' may apperently seen /viewed as development, but as an end product may result in  ''over exploitation of natural resources''
RELEVANT DOMAIN OF KNOWLEDGE:We have to develop relevant domain of knowledge and a procedure for implimentation. Basic needs like transportation, public distribution, care for the weaker sections of the society, general health care, disease prevention, recreation may need urgent relook, May be IITS,AICTE,IMC,or such relavent bodies may have to deliver the right goods.
WHO IS RESPONSIBLE: HOPE A NEED BASED SYSTEM WILL BE A POSSIBILITY IF WE MAKE ''SINCERE'' EFFORTS.
