OPTIMUM AROUSAL AND BETTER PERFORMANCE.
In sports /game competition situation,depending on the type of game/ sport,duration,intersity,nature, the level of arousal should be kept well guided and under control.More than the optimum arousal will result in co- contraction of the reciprocal groups and will end in uncoordinated movements and consequently loss of accuracy,poor performance.Less than the optimum arousal will result in lethargy and boredom to perform the event and consequently poor performance. Researchers in this area have empirically proved optimal arousal is associated with higher level of performance. Coaches,parents,players should be able to monitor the the level of arousal and keep it well balanced in the tough situations of the game-deciding sets,tie breakers ,break points etc. This habits should be inculcated very early stages of sports training,so that future problems can be avoided.
