OVER COMING BARRIERS IN TENNIS PERFORMANCE

STAGNATION DESPITE SINCERE EFFORTS AND NOT ABLE TO IDENTIFY THE REASONS.

Possible reasons,1. Forgotten to work on basics of each skills for a long duration. 
SOLUTION: Work diligently on the basics of all the skills in tennis /in particular your weaker skills.
2. Forgotten to work on basic motor qualities like speed,strength,agility ,and endurance.
SOLUTION: Verify'' your'' base line values and work on to reach and improve that level.
3.Too much indulgence with units of fragmented ready made training work outs.
SOLUTION:Work on gross body skills and actual play, in less competitive situation,with a focus on improving your weakness.

OPTIMUM AROUSAL AND BETTER PERFORMANCE.
In sports /game competition situation,depending on the type of game/sport,duration,intersity,nature, the level of arousal should be kept well guided and under control.More than the optimum arousal will result in co- contraction of the reciprocal groups and will end in uncoordinated movements and consequently loss of accuracy,poor performance.Less than the optimum arousal will result in lethargy and boredom to perform the event and consequently poor performance. Researchers in this area have empirically proved optimal arousal is associated with higher level of performance. Coaches,parents,players should be able to monitor the the level of arousal and keep it well balanced in the tough situations of the game-deciding sets,tie breakers ,break points etc. This habits should be inculcated very early stages of sports training,so that future problems can be avoided.

READINESS FOR SPORTS PERFORMANCE:Sports trainers may have to be aware of the fact, that the physiological,sociological,psychological readiness are inter-dependent on each other. A change in one aspect of readiness will definitely affect the other domain.It will be a waste of time and futile exercise for one to teach /coach a person who is not ready to receive the contents of the day's work. The preparation for readiness should have long term,intermediate and immediate objectives.The fulfillment of these objectives will make an athlete ready in a state of personality,physical condition,and psychological development/readiness for winning the game /sports.
